Thursday Thoughts

Thursday Thoughts

I am linking up again this week with Jennifer at Ramblings of a Suburban Mom for Thursday Thoughts.

~ Owen has his two-year check-up tomorrow so I will post his monthly update after that appointment so I can include his height and weight and other information. Plus, I need to take some photos of him. If he will cooperate.

~ I'm loving the will they or won't they chemistry on some of my favorite TV shows: Mindy and Danny on The Mindy Project, Klaus and Caroline on The Vampire Diaries (Yes, I watch it. Judge away), and we all know what happened with Jess and Nick on New Girl. I just love waiting for couples to make a move. It's actually pretty boring sometimes once they finally get together because the anticipation is so much more fun, i.e. Booth and Bones on Bones.

~ I haven't really used Ebates since Christmas so I was happy that I remembered to use it the other day. I got $8 back on just one purchase just for going to the website through Ebates first. Yay! I think I've made almost $50 on Ebates since I signed up. That's not as much as some, but I don't shop too much online and that's still $50 I didn't really have to do anything to earn. If you haven't signed up for Ebates yet, you definitely should. You just register for free and click on one of the more than 1,500 retailers listed on the site to shop. If you buy something, you will receive an e-rebate on your purchase that will be sent to you in a check in the mail. It's such an easy way to make money while shopping online. If you want to sign up or learn more about Ebates, click HERE.*

~Another semi-related program that I've started using since I got my iPhone is the Ibotta app. It lists coupon deals for various products you can buy at the grocery store and you can get credit for buying the items simply by submitting a photo of your receipt and scanning the barcode on the item. It's way easier than clipping coupons and I just make sure to check and see if there are any deals on the things that I'm going to buy at the store before I shop so I can make sure to buy the brand that will get me money back. I have earned $5 so far since I started a few weeks ago. They pay you through a PayPal account. If you are interested in signing up, click HERE.* Also, I think if you sign up, you automatically get a $2 credit as a newbie!

~ Mother's Day and my birthday are coming up in the next couple months so I've been researching some ideas for gifts I would like to help out Tim. I saw a post that Jennifer from Ramblings of a Suburban Mom did about Stella and Dot jewelry and accessories and after browsing around on their site for a bit, I found a ton of stuff that I would love. And to be fair, because I stole the below photo from her site, here is a link to Jennifer's store in case you want to check it out.

~ After almost three weeks, I finally beat level 29 on Candy Crush. And 30, 31, and 32! I was really frustrated with it for a while so I'm glad that the levels seem to have gotten a bit easier. But 33 is a jerk.

~ I am going through subscription box withdrawal. I canceled a bunch of them and now only get Citrus Lane, The Little Book Club, and Julep (though I have skipped the last couple months of Julep). I miss getting fun mail. And I love getting stuff for Owen, but I kind-of wish I had another one for me. I thought that would be PopSugar, but I canceled because I just haven't been using the stuff they were sending and after seeing what they sent out this month, I am really glad that I canceled.

*These are referral links and I would be so happy if you would use them!
