Owen's newborn pictures: Part 1

Owen's newborn pictures are done! The photographer gave them to us a few days ago and we ended up with about 20. Tim and I ordered birth announcements a couple days ago using some of the pictures so I won't ruin them by posting those photos just yet. I will post the five we used in the birth announcement once they've been received by our family and friends. We were really happy with most of the photos. Owen was nine days old when we had these pictures taken. It's amazing how much he's grown in such a short time.

Owen's newborn photos sneak peek

The photographer who shot Owen's newborn photos posted a couple to her blog today. Here they are. I can't wait to get the rest of them.

Owen is ready for his close-up

Today we went to have Owen's newborn pictures taken by a local photographer. Owen was amazing! He cried very rarely (and even then, only because he was hungry and once when he was wet) and he was awake and alert for a good part of the time. We were also happy because he didn't use the bathroom on us or any of the photo props when we were having the naked pictures taken of him. Yay Owen! We expect to get some really great pictures. The photographer seemed really happy with the shoot. She said she would have a sneak peek uploaded to her blog in a few days, but then said that there may be something online tonight because she likes to work on photos immediately when she feels she had a good shoot. I'll keep you posted and link to her website when she has them up. In the meantime, take a look at some "behind the scenes" photos from the shoot. We took our camera so we could document the afternoon, but once we got back to the house we found out that something had gone wrong with our camera card and we lost all our pictures. Thankfully, we had just saved all our pictures since Owen's birth on a USB drive. Thank goodness. Anyway, Tim took a few pictures on his cell phone, so you can see a little bit of what we got at the photo shoot.
A little fuzzy, but you get the idea.
